Christmas Day, Please Don't End

This is a poem from the book ''Christmas Poetry for Everyone''

Christmas Day, Please Don’t End

I woke up feeling an urge to cheer.
I’m happy the holiday season is here.
I look forward to time with family and friends.
Please Christmas day, please don’t end.
This is the time that we all get surprised.

As we wonder what gifts are wrapped up inside.
What’s in the presents that are under the tree?
Will it be enough to make us all happy?
I’m imagining holding a gift, right in my hand.

I’m pulling apart the ribbons, strand by strand.
My eyes open wide, as I take a peek.
This was the perfect gift for me.
My gift was a shirt that was one of a kind.

The way it felt was amazing, it blew my mind.
When I put on the shirt, it fit me so well.
It looked so expensive, even in a holiday sale.
The rest of the gifts were good too.

We had everything imagined, including shoes.
Everyone had gifts and they had big smiles.
We wished for this day to last for a while.

Christmas Eve Drive

This is a poem from the book ''Christmas Poetry for Everyone''

Christmas Eve Drive

Let’s go for a drive.
This is Christmas Eve.
We can see all the lights.
As they shine bright on the streets.
It’s nice to see some snow.
It covers all of the ground.
There’s no traffic on the road.
The coast is clear all around.

The weather is very cold.
We still let our windows down.
The air feels good as it hit our faces.
We feel alive as we visit places.
Having fun is our style.
As we drive around for miles.
It’s nice to see the scene.
As we drive on Christmas Eve.

My Moment with My Grandmother

This is a poem from the book ''Christmas Poetry for Everyone''

My Moment with My Grandmother

What was your favorite Christmas Moment?
Was it filled joy and laughter?
My moment was when grandmother was around.
She would fuss and say that I acted like a clown.
She made jokes toward me in a loving way.
She kept me entertained all day.
She made a day seem like a week.
The food that she cooked was delicious to eat.

She walked around with her purse in hand.
She acted like she was the diva over all the land.
Her hair went past her shoulder from her head.
She had fashion, she knew how to dress.
Her clothes were always clean and neatly pressed.
Every day was Christmas when she was around.
There’s was only laughter and smiles.
Who’s the funniest person that you know?

As for me, it’s my granny for sure.

Can Adults Have Their Own Christmas?

This is a poem from the book ''Christmas Poetry for Everyone''

Can Adults Have Their Own Christmas?

Can adults have own Christmas?
Is it temptation? Will you resist?
Imagine having our own Santa Clause.
That brings surprise gifts from the mall.

Imagine today is Christmas day.
You can everything you want your way.
You can have coffee while you’re in bed.
Forget work, just play all day instead.

You raise your hands with a lift.
You reach and grab your gift.
You were good all year long.
Now you’re singing Christmas songs.

Congratulations, this is it.
Merry Christmas, you've got your wish.
