Chapter 2 - Falling In
Love
Falling in love is an awesome feeling. I’ve been there before. There’s a lot of excitement when you are
first falling in love. A lot of people
want it and crave it. Just imagine how
many love songs, love movies and other topics of love that’s out there. It’s one of the most talked about
topics. The feeling of knowing that you
can have a potential life mate to create a life with can seem very fulfilling.
There were several questions that I’ve had
when I fell in love in the past. Is what
I’m feeling real? Is this truly falling
in love, or is this just the rush and excitement from meeting someone new where
there is mutual attraction? Then the
little birdy whispers in my ear and says, is this going to be something that
works or will I get hurt?
Different people react to the fear of
falling in love in different ways. Some
people ignore it and go full steam ahead.
Others come across as giving mixed signals because their heart is
fighting their head. The heart is
saying, give this a shot. But the head
is saying, run, run, run.
I don’t believe in letting fear rule the
heart. At the same time, I do believe
that learning from past experiences can help us make stronger decisions in the
future. If you’re experiencing falling
in love at this moment, my advice to you is to enjoy it. Take it one moment and one day at a time. Pay attention to the signs and clues over
time.
If your mind, your gut feeling and the
practical elements are in alignment with your heart, then it’s most likely a
good situation for you. On the other
hand, if something doesn’t feel right, then just make sure that you pay
attention to any red flags. This will help you decide if you need to continue
or exit the situation. These are some thoughts on Falling in Love.
