 I’m Over The Anger

You think that I’m still mad at you

This is no longer the case

I’ve healed and I’ve moved on from you

I’ve accepted my mistakes

Sometimes love makes us take a turn

That we didn’t see coming

I’ve lost and I’ve been burned

But now my strength is showing

I’m taking all the misery

That you brought into my life

I’m using it to be a better me

I’m not going lie down and cry

Too many tears were shed over you

Now I realize my life is better without you

You contacted me the other day

I have nothing left to say

I will not reopen that door

You’re an ex for a reason

I’ll be foolish to open up to hurting more

You were in my life for just a season
